Topic of the day: Beijing winters
After having experienced the longest & mildest autumn in Beijing in five years, today another record is broken. At 30 degrees Fahrenheit (not taking in mind the freezing Siberian winds), Beijing is going through its coldest winter in 50 years for this time of year. Shit, it's bloody freezing cold!!!

A pipe burst yesterday at work because all of the water inside the pipe completely froze! Spread out all onto the patio and now we have a nice ice rink :)
Gee.. with the -18 (accounting for windchill and low humidity) this is the most extreme weather I have ever hoped to face anywhere.
Thus far, I've nearly slipped thrice on the ice in the streets, had my whole face go numb once and have almost lost my toes to frostbite twice. Other than that... I love the winters! The extra layers of clothes hide the natural insulation quite well I might add.
