Me English no good?

Topic of the day: Office anecdote

 

Today, a French colleague of mine asked me to help him proofread a document for a fellow Chinese colleague (he was too busy to do it himself).  After he told the Chinese colleague that I will do it instead, the Chinese colleague looked at him for a second and then asked:

 

"How's her English?"

 

I guess here in China, growing up in the States really counts for jack if you look Asian.  ;-)
