I Went to the Land Down Under

Topic of the day: My visit to the land of Simons & Michelle's

During the last week and a half of 2006, I hopped on an Air China flight to Melbourne, Australia. The purporse of the trip was to visit two good mates of mine - the infamous pair, Simon and Michelle. And of course, where Simon and Michelle are involved, trouble insues.

My 10 days in Melbourne (and the lovely town of Pambula), were filled with meat, wine, meat, driving, steak, cheese, meat, and more meat. In fact, I've never had more consistant meat intake than this trip.

What a fabulous trip though! It was great to see those two buggers again after almost a year of them moving away from Beijing. Thank you, guys, for everything that you've done for me - I had a wonderful time with you guys and all the food you guys and Tess made were great!!!

Glad you enjoyed Australia. Yes Melbourne is a great place to visit. I love going there for the tennis in January.

You can read about my Aust Open info at www.tennis-fanatic.com

I enjoyed tennis in Beijing one time. Had a great time at the Beijing Open in 1998. Seems like ages ago now.

The great thing was security was so bad that I ended up in the players lounge. I did have a friend that knew Alex O'Brian, a doubles player but it was so cool we got in there.
